Beyond glasses and routine contact lenses, some eyes need a more specialized approach. As an independent practice, we take the time to evaluate, explain, and tailor care to your eyes. Here are three areas we focus on every day.

Dry Eye Care

Dry, burning, watery, or tired eyes are among the most common complaints we hear — especially in Arizona's desert air. We start with a thorough dry eye evaluation, looking at tear quality and the oil glands in your eyelids to find the actual cause. Then we build a plan around it: daily habits, artificial tears, prescription drops, punctal plugs, or in-office eyelid therapies.

Myopia Control for Children

Nearsightedness usually gets worse as kids grow, and stronger prescriptions mean higher risk of serious eye problems later in life. We offer three proven ways to slow it down: Essilor Stellest spectacle lenses, MiSight 1 day contact lenses, and overnight orthokeratology. Dr. Pham is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control.

Scleral Lenses

For keratoconus, irregular corneas, or severe dry eye, standard contacts often don't work — or don't stay comfortable. Scleral lenses are larger lenses that vault over the cornea and rest on the white of the eye, creating a smooth optical surface with a cushion of moisture underneath. The result is sharper, more stable vision and all-day comfort. Each lens is custom-fit to your eye here in our office.

Headaches & Light Sensitivity

Frequent headaches, migraine, or eyes bothered by bright or fluorescent light can have a visual component. We start with the fundamentals — making sure your prescription is current and your eyes aren't straining — and go from there. For light sensitivity, specialty filter lenses such as Avulux or FL-41 tinted lenses filter out the wavelengths most likely to trigger symptoms while letting comfortable light through. Avulux is an FDA-authorized option for migraine-related light sensitivity (ages 12 and up) and is meant to complement your usual migraine care, not replace it. FL-41 focuses on the blue-green range research links most strongly to migraine light sensitivity. If your eyes feel tired after long hours under LED or fluorescent lighting, blue-light-filtering lenses can cut glare and make screen time more comfortable. These are custom lenses we prescribe based on your symptoms and daily environment.

Some headaches and eye strain come from a subtle misalignment in the way the eyes team together. Neurolens technology uses a specialized contoured prism design to help the eyes team together. We don't fit Neurolens in our office, but if we think it could be a fit for you, we'll refer you to a provider we trust who does.
